Candice Roberston-Shattler

Candice Robertson-Shattler is proud of her Inuit heritage and is committed to working with Indigenous communities, organizations, and individuals, for culturally driven social and economic change.
She believes that reconciliation must be rooted in understanding and is a transformation guided by actions. She is dedicated to supporting groups and organizations as they develop their path towards reconciliation through Reconciliation Action Planning grounded in cultural respect, collaboration with Nations/Communities, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action, and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP).
Candice has over 18 years of experience in the heavy civil construction, energy, not-for-profit, and education sectors. Her previous roles include: Vice President of Corporate Development, Governance, and Integrated Engagement; Director of Learning Services; National Health and Safety Manager; and Teacher. Candice’s diverse roles and experiences have provided her with a unique perspective and well-rounded skill set for her clients.
Currently living in Edmonton, AB on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Metis Nation of Alberta, she is a graduate from McGill University and a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP, NP). Candice’s passion for empowerment through education and engagement are core to her personal and professional vision and values. A member of the Golden Key International Honour Society for her post graduate work at the University of Alberta, she is committed to life-long learning.
