Our Mission
Finding Inspiration at Every Turn
IndigeSTEAM 's mission is the provision of Indigenous-led and culturally-relevant programming in STEM/STEAM to support a better future for Indigenous youth and their communities in STEM. We do this with spaces that are ethical and respect Indigenous culture and Ways of Knowing. We bring in Indigenous STEM role models and train non-Indigenous and Indigenous STEM professionals how best to work with Indigenous youth and youth in general. We also provide the Indigenous STEM professionals with networking and support that recognizes their need to walk in two worlds.

Power To Choose
We empower Indigenous youth with the ability to make informed choices about their future careers and lives. Through events, summer camp, and workshops, we connect youth with Indigenous mentors and highlight the rich knowledge within their cultures. We ensure that all Indigenous youth and their families can participate without financial barriers.
Pathways For Choice
We offer Indigenous youth a comprehensive path to career development through practical experience, professional networks and by connecting participants with Indigenous mentors who offer valuable guidance and insights. Internships are offered to give hands-on experience and apply learning in real-world settings.
Partners In Community
The pillar includes hosting corporate events, such as conferences, seminars, and workshops, to facilitate networking and knowledge sharing among professionals. It also offers retreats designed for team-building, strategic planning, and personal development, creating a focused environment for growth and collaboration.
