The Water Protection workshop invites participants to explore the sacred relationship with water through Indigenous teachings and scientific inquiry, guided by the principle of Two-Eyed Seeing. Participants engage in hands-on STEAM activities such as water testing and environmental observation, while learning cultural teachings that honor water as life and a relative to be protected. Through story, song, and art, each person makes a personal commitment to become a water protector. As an optional extension, watercolour painting using natural pigments can be added in combination with the Plants & Paints workshop, deepening the connection between science, creativity, and land-based learning.
