This interactive role-playing workshop invites participants to explore the history, spirit, and ongoing significance of treaties in Canada, emphasizing that we are all treaty people with shared responsibilities. Through immersive storytelling, collaborative activities, and guided reflection, learners step into the roles of historical and contemporary figures to better understand the intentions, agreements, and impacts of treaty relationships. Rooted in Indigenous worldviews and aligned with curriculum outcomes in Social Studies and Indigenous education, the workshop highlights the past, present, and future importance of reciprocity, respect, and the interconnectedness of all living things. By engaging both hearts and minds, participants gain a deeper appreciation for the responsibilities that come with being treaty people and are encouraged to reflect on how these agreements shape our communities and collective future.
