The Robot Pow Wow Showcase is a high-energy, one-day workshop where tradition meets innovation through robotics, coding, and cultural storytelling. Participants design and program robots to dance in a simulated Pow Wow style and their own self-discovery. They will explore movement, rhythm, and expression through technology. Guided by Two-Eyed Seeing, this experience blends Indigenous teachings with STEAM learning as robots take on playful cultural challenges, navigating a buffalo jump, turning a tipi to the east, launching and loading a canoe, moving dancers to the fire, and simulating a hunt. Each challenge connects robotics to land, story, and ceremony, encouraging learners to explore engineering, sequencing, and design while honouring Indigenous values of respect, balance, and community. Ideal for youth and educators, this workshop fosters creativity, collaboration, and cultural pride in a joyful, hands-on environment.
