In a safe and respectful healing circle, this workshop guides participants through a powerful educational journey that explores the history and ongoing impacts of colonization, residential schools, and systemic inequities. Through shared stories, guided reflection, and facilitated discussion, learners begin to understand the emotional and cultural realities of Indigenous experiences and take meaningful steps toward reconciliation.
Central to the workshop is the Medicine Wheel, a holistic framework that teaches balance across the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual dimensions of wellness. Participants learn how these teachings foster connection to self, others, and the natural world, offering tools for healing and personal growth. A collaborative art component can be added to visually express themes of resilience, identity, and collective healing, reinforcing the workshop’s emphasis on empathy, cultural understanding, and community care.
