Using pony beads, learners experiment with patterning, symmetry, and spatial reasoning, core concepts in mathematics, while also choosing colours and arrangements that reflect in storytelling. As participants string each bead with intention, they build connections across knowledge systems, honouring Indigenous traditions while developing skills in geometry, sequencing, and visual design. This hands-on experience provides creativity, collaboration, and cultural pride, making it ideal for cross-curricular learning in art, math, and Indigenous education.
