STEAM of the Tipi Demo

FOCUS: Indigenous Ways of Knowing / Engineering / Mathematics / Design / Art This workshop is the least customizable yet will give an overview of the Science of a Tipi. Includes history, geography, social studies, symbology and some language use. Grade/unit: All ages and grades, but more successful for early elementary classes. Supplies provided: Demo tipi kits are supplied. Design work is done on paper. Outcome is paper folded tipi 1 to 1.5 hour / class COST: $200.00 presenter + presenter travel outside of Calgary $150.00 / session for multiple classes in one location on one day
